In operation since 1975, the Schlicher-Kratz Institute is a Berks County real estate school that offers classes in three areas to help its students learn real estate: mortgage loan origination training, real estate education and appraiser education.

Here at Schlicher-Kratz Institute we want to assist you in earning your license, not just to learn real estate. This is why we provide real estate education, appraiser education and mortgage loan origination training classes in an online format and in a standard classroom setting.

The Only Berks County Real Estate School You Need

Our repeat policy is one feature that separates our Berks County real estate school from the competition. At Schlicher-Kratz Institute, you can learn real estate at their own pace. You can retake any pre-licensing class for up to six months following the completion of your course.

We have been certified by the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission and approved by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Industry. This means, that as part of the real estate education segment at Schlicher-Kratz Institute, we offer continuing education courses and broker courses that help our students learn real estate at locations in Montgomeryville, Bensalem, Reading and Clarks Summit.

Schlicher-Kratz Institute has offered, for over three decades, appraiser education to scores of appraisal students. The appraiser education portion of our Berks County real estate school has been approved by the Pennsylvania State Appraisal Board. Those who decide to learn real estate from us can receive dual real estate continuing education credits as our courses are approved for both appraiser and real estate licensees.

Mortgage loan origination training at the Schlicher-Kratz Institute is available both in classrooms and online, which means you will be receiving a high-quality real estate education at our Berks County real estate school at the Schlicher-Kratz Institute. As would be expected, our mortgage loan origination training classes include the 20-hour pre-licensing requirement under the SAFE Act.

Our real estate broker courses also fulfill your continuing education requirement for the renewal period in which you take them, as long as you were licensed as a salesperson before December 1, 2013. In addition, one credit real estate broker courses fulfill the education requirement toward a New Jersey salesperson license if you are actively licensed as a salesperson in Pennsylvania.
